Policies
Privacy notice
CAF follows the principles of the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) as good practice, and complies with them wherever they apply by law.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us, such as your name and email address when you write to us. This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising trackers, and loads nothing from other websites. If you use the light or dark mode button, your browser remembers that choice on your own device; it is never sent to us.
Why, and for how long
We use your information only to reply to you or to do what you asked. We keep it only as long as needed for that purpose, or as the law requires. We do not sell or rent it.
Surveys and research
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Surveys are for adults only.
Before any survey, we will tell you who will see your answers. If data would be shared with a research partner outside Canada (for example in New Zealand), we will say so first, because the law of that country would also apply.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. Write to our Privacy Officer, Imad Kaddoura, admin@canadianawqaf.org. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
